Despite, the capital city of Nepal certainly being the busiest with hectic traffic it undoubtedly has a strong appeal with local splendor and vigorous activities around, where you can simply relax and take pleasure in the fun of driving through the unfamiliar roads.

Driving to Manthali in Ramechhap district, Nepal can be an adventurous journey that offers a glimpse of rural life and the scenic beauty of the Nepalese countryside. The road from Kathmandu to Manthali in Ramechhap is a mix of paved and unpaved sections. While some parts are well-maintained, others can be bumpy and rough, especially during the monsoon season. The condition of the roads can vary, and landslides are not uncommon in hilly areas. The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, with terraced fields, lush forests, and traditional villages dotting the route. It's an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Nepal.

Trekking from Phakding to Monjo is a delightful short adventure that provides a taste of the Everest region's beauty and culture. Leaving Phakding, a charming village, the trail follows the Dudh Kosi River, meandering through lush forests and crossing suspension bridges adorned with colorful prayer flags. The sound of rushing water and the distant views of snow-capped peaks create a soothing backdrop for your journey.

Monjo offers a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere with its teahouses and lodges, making it an ideal place to rest and acclimatize on our journey to higher altitudes. The village sits along the Dudh Kosi River, which originates from the Khumbu Glacier and is adorned with fluttering prayer flags, lending a sense of spirituality to the area.

Monjo is also a checkpoint for permits, marking the official entrance to the national park and UNESCO World Heritage site. With its lush surroundings, cultural richness, and proximity to Khumbu's natural wonders, Monjo is a delightful stopover for our mission to Ama Dablam Base Camp.

Today casually we leave Monjo for Namche Bazaar, the capital and the Administrative Center of the Khumbu district. It’s more of a luxurious town in the middle of no way in the midst of remoteness and thin air.

Trekking from Monjo to Namche Bazaar is a scenic and exhilarating journey through the heart of the Dudh Koshi Valley. As you leave Monjo, you'll continue your ascent into the Khumbu region. 

The trail gradually gains elevation, and you'll cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River, with prayer flags fluttering in the mountain breeze. The path is well-maintained and surrounded by lush forests, offering a mix of ascents and descents. Along the way, you'll pass through the park entrance where your permits are checked. The scenery is stunning, with views of towering peaks, including Thamserku and Kwangde.

As you approach Namche Bazaar, you'll encounter the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge.  After crossing the bridge, a challenging uphill climb awaits, but it's well worth the effort. Namche Bazaar is the largest and most vibrant Sherpa town in the region. It's a bustling hub where trekkers can rest, acclimatize, and explore the local market, which offers everything from trekking gear to souvenirs.

The town is known for its bakeries, restaurants, and teahouses, making it an ideal place to enjoy a good meal and prepare for the higher altitudes of the Everest trek.

Leaving Namche we climb north till we get to the high ridgeline. Soon we walk the most organized effortless trail that cruises through the two most stunning Stupas (Buddhist Shrine) with magnificent views of Thamserku and Amadablam. Once we reach the small settlement of Khyangjuma we leave the regular trekking trail and walk to the small settlement of Tashinga.

As the trek continues, Tashinga comes into view, nestled at an elevation of approximately 3,450 meters (11,319 feet). This small Sherpa settlement offers a tranquil retreat for trekkers, with comfortable teahouses and lodges providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Tashinga is an ideal stopover point for acclimatization and soaking in the serene surroundings before continuing our trek to Pangboche.

Leaving Tashinga we descend down to the village of Phunki Tenga 3250 m and ascend 600 m to the settlement of Tengboche monastery, one of the most active monastery in the region. Tengboche monastery has always been a place of worship for the natives and the mountain climbers before scaling any peak in the Everest region.

Continuing from Tengboche to Pangboche, the trail offers stunning vistas of the Himalayan peaks, charming Sherpa settlements, and occasional encounters with yaks and local wildlife. Pangboche is known for its historic monastery and the friendly locals, who are always eager to share stories of their culture and way of life.

Trekking from Tashinga to Pangboche via Tengboche is a memorable and fun-filled adventure. It's a journey that offers a perfect mix of natural beauty, spiritual encounters, and cultural exploration in the heart of the Himalayas.

A trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp from Pangboche is a truly beautiful and awe-inspiring journey. We leave Pangboche after breakfast and as we set out on this trek, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, one of the most iconic peaks in the Himalayas.

The trail winds through lush forests and crosses sparkling streams, creating a sense of serenity. As you ascend, you'll encounter yak pastures and rhododendron groves, adding vibrant colors to the landscape, especially during the spring. The towering presence of Ama Dablam remains a constant companion along the way, gradually revealing its breathtaking contours.

Arriving at Ama Dablam Base Camp, located at approximately 4,500 meters (14,764 feet), is an unforgettable experience. The close-up views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding peaks are nothing short of mesmerizing. We will be surrounded by the pristine beauty of the Himalayas. As night falls, the starry skies above create a truly magical atmosphere, and the sense of remoteness and tranquility is unparalleled.

From Lukla airport, the final destination can be either Kathmandu or Manthali Airport, depending on the peak or off-season. Nonetheless, we will have a Sensational flight back. 

Flying out of Lukla Airport is a divine experience that captures the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas. As your small aircraft takes to the sky, you're immediately surrounded by a panoramic masterpiece of nature. Towering peaks, including the legendary Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, seem to reach out and touch the heavens. 

The rugged landscapes, deep gorges, and remote villages pass beneath you like a living tapestry of Nepal's highlands. The thrill of the takeoff is matched only by the breathtaking scenery that unfolds before your eyes, leaving a permanent imprint of the Himalayan splendor on your soul. 

Flying out of Lukla is not just a departure; it's a final gift, a reminder of the unparalleled beauty that this region has to offer.

However, in the peak season time, all Lukla Flights are Diverted to Manthali Airport at Ramechhap District which is 132 km away from Kathmandu. If we fly to Manthali Airport transportation in a PRIVATE VEHICLE will be provided to transfer you to Kathmandu Hotel. 

This Drive from Manthali to Kathmandu will take 4/5 Hours approximately.
