Unbeatable service on Kongde Ridge trek

I can't speak highly enough of Nepal Pyramids. From my first contact to discuss our options to the last day when we were taken to the airport Sunil (owner), Anand (guide) and Santos were highly attentive and took care of us every step of the way. I have never experienced this level of personal attention from a travel company. Sunil gave us excellent advice and accommodated all our needs, putting together a first class experience. It was our first high altitude trek, and although a little taxing towards the end the views from the Kongde Ridge on the final morning were worth it. We loved every minute of it and would recommend this business to everyone considering trekking in Nepal.

Nepal Pyramids: Movement in the mountains, calm in the head, perfect organization!

Nepal Pyramids: Movement in the mountains, calm in the head, perfect organization!

My first sentence reads exactly like an advertising message:-) but is authentic and straight from the heart. The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a trip that both sets in motion and slows down.

In twelve days we walked 187 kilometers through the Himalayas -from the warm lowlands at 700m altitude to the high mountains of the Larke Pass at 5,100 meters. You hear no car, no traffic, just the sound of your own footsteps, of water flowing, of wind playing between the prayer flags.

We traveled with Nepal Pyramids, perfectly organized by Sunil. He took care of every detail: permits, transport, equipment, hotels – even when we adjusted our program along the way, everything was right back on track. Sunil is the quiet engine behind the scenes: reliable, easily accessible and proud of the quality of his organization.

The trip itself we did with Gyan, our guide, and Keisan, our porter. Gyan has walked the Manaslu more than forty times – and you can feel it. He knows the mountain like the back of his hand, knows where to pause, when to drink and where the view literally makes you quiet. He leads calmly yet thoughtfully.

Keisan, our porter, was the power of simplicity: always smiling, caring and committed.

The days follow the rhythm of the mountains: getting up early, backpacking, stepping, tea on the way, eating, laughing, sweating and watching. In the evening dal bhat and tea, exchange stories with other hikers from Australia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany or ... Belgium . And fall asleep tired but satisfied around 20:00.

Slowly the routines from home disappear (also hardly internet). What remains is simplicity: eating, moving, sleeping, watching, singing and ... time to think.

    Highlights?
Not one peak moment, but a succession of small, pure experiences. The first morning when the Manaslu shows itself in the sunlight: the mountain peaks that are given a golden color by the first rays of the sun. The silence on Birendra Lake at the glacier . The last meters over the Larke Pass overlooking a sea of white mountain peaks. The smile of Keisan, the confidence of Gyan, the feeling that you are part of something bigger than yourself.

On one of those mornings, October 11, the trip got an extra layer: my birthday. Two golden balloons dangled from my backpack, a fun idea that grew into something symbolic along the way. Everywhere along the way, trekkers from Australia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, America or Nepal came to congratulate me... while I couldn’t receive wishes from the home front without Wi-Fi. In the evening, Gyan appeared with a homemade chocolate cake — at 3,500 meters high, in a wooden oven, with a pride that said it all. No wifi, no candles, but a room full of people who only knew each other for a few days and still felt connected. It was not a big party, but a moment of pure happiness: small, unexpected and unforgettable, like the Manaslu itself.

What sets Nepal Pyramids apart is care in every detail. You get decent equipment – down jackets, sleeping bags, ponchos, clams for the snow – and everything works. No improvisation, but experience. Attention is paid to safety, hygiene, pace and comfort, without ever compromising the authenticity of the adventure.

The Manaslu Trek is for those who love movement with meaning. For those who want to push their limits, but also want to feel what simplicity does. For those who realize that real progress sometimes means slowing down. Nepal Pyramids, Sunil, Gyan and Keisan do not make this trip an achievement, but an experience that stays with us. They make you just walk — and watch. The rest will follow.

Thank you for this magical experience.

Amazing experience start to finish, would highly recommend booking with Nepal Pyramids for your trek

Nepal Pyramids were absolutely amazing! My friend and I (two young women, aged 21 and 24, from the UK) did the Annapurna Circuit and felt completely safe and cared for from the moment we landed to when we left. Everything was organised perfectly (airport transfers, trekking gear, Kathmandu tour, lovely teahouses, and even luxury hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara).

Our lovely guide Gyan, with Jaya and Pemba carrying our bags, made us feel like family. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, Gyan looked after us so well, made us feel so safe and took care of absolutely everything so we could just enjoy ourselves on the walk. He also taught us so much about the Circuit.

Sunil also prepared us brilliantly, and the thoughtful touches like greeting us at the airport, the welcome meal and certificate at the end made the whole experience extra special.

We couldn’t recommend Nepal Pyramids enough, whether you’re a solo female traveller or a group. We’ll definitely be back for another trek

Five star journey through the Himalayas

Our trip with Nepal Pyramids was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. From our first contact with Nepal Pyramids, Sunil (the owner) listened to what we were hoping for and helped create a fantastic journey through Annapurna, Manaslu, and Gokyo Lakes.

What made the experience even more unforgettable was our guide, Mukund, and the rest of the team. They looked after us, encouraged us on the tough days, and shared their love of the Himalayas. They made us feel safe, supported, and connected to the mountains.

The landscapes were ridiculously beautiful. You simply have to see it to believe it. The Himalayas are a special place, and thanks to Nepal Pyramids, our experience was perfect. We’ll never forget this trip!

    A seamless solo EBC Trek

My solo trek to Everest Base Camp was a last-minute decision, undertaken during the off-season. Given my tight schedule, the unpredictable weather affecting Lukla flights, and limited medical resources, I sought assistance from Sunil Gurung, recommended by a friend. This proved to be an excellent choice.

Sunil and his guide, Pemba, were incredibly approachable and supportive. They went above and beyond to tailor the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar trek to my compressed timeline, while consistently prioritizing my safety, health, and well-being. They expertly managed the daily trek by balancing workloads, diet, sleep, and acclimatization.

Their adaptability and flexibility in navigating the challenges of off-season travel were exceptional. I particularly appreciated the consistent daily communication between Sunil in Kathmandu and my guide Pemba, who regularly discussed my health, well-being, and ongoing risk assessments to ensure my safety was paramount. Thanks to their dedicated support and favorable weather conditions, the entire journey was not just a success, but a truly remarkable experience.

Outstanding Manaslu Circuit Trek with the professional, dynamic & fun loving team at Nepal Pyramids

This was my fourth visit & trek in Nepal and simply the best!
I can't speak highly enough of the professional teamwork, attention to detail, duty of care, breadth of knowledge & extraordinary warmth & kindness of Sunil, Karma, Jai, Tej, Pemba & Dill.
The Manaslu Circuit is a challenging trek that is filled with the beauty & awe of the Himalayans.
On arrival we were greeted, briefed thoroughly & given an opportunity to discuss any cares or concerns.
Each evening we were guided through the outline of the following days trek, including some possible highlights along the way.
Once again, we were given time to process the information & ask questions.
As a senior, I felt supported, encouraged & heard.
A stand out to me was the embedding of Nepali culture, the sharing of personal storylines & the deep pride & respect that the Nepal Pyramid team have for both their country & their profession.
The light in me bows to the light in you, Namaste

5-Star Review for an Amazing Manaslu Circuit Trek

Our Manaslu Circuit Trek with Nepal Pyramids was an incredible experience! The entire journey was very well-organized, ensuring that we could fully enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas without a single worry.

The guides (guide Karma and assistant guides Jay and Taze) were experienced, professional, and always made us feel safe. Karma his knowledge was impressive as he shared insights about Nepal, its people, culture, and nature. The team also ensured we were well-prepared each day, providing all the information we needed to make the trek a success.

The materials and equipment provided were good, which added to the comfort and ease of the hike.
The entire team was not only professional but also genuinely kind and supportive, making the experience even more enjoyable.
