DRIVE OR FLIGHT?
However, by roadway from Kathmandu to Bardia National Park takes about 13 hours, which is approximately 532 km / 330 miles. Therefore, if you are planning to fly to Bardia from Kathmandu, first you need to fly to Nepalgunj airport in the district of Bardia which takes about an hour. From Nepalgunj, it’s around a 2-hour drive to Bardia National Park.

About 70% of the park is concealed by Sal tree forests, riverine forests, and tall grassland. The park is home to endangered animals such as the Royal Bengal tiger, wild elephant, one-horned rhinoceros, swamp, and blackbuck deer.
