Langtang Valley Trek for Nepali Trip Profile:

Your Langtang Valley Trek starts with a scenic 7-hour drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu. Though it is a long drive, you will enjoy every moment winding through the narrow highway with the change in the landscapes. As you drive, you will witness the rustic life of the villages and the diverse crops growing in the ancient terraced farming lands.

We will continue our drive further to the town of Trishuli, located at the side of the holy Trishuli river. We will have lunch and Trishuli Bazaar and shortly after we will start ascending towards the mountainous region of Rasuwa district. As the road twists and turns climbing the hilly region of Rasuwa, a mesmerizing view of the majestic Ganesh Himal unfolds.

Eventually, the gradual ascent leads us to the charming town of Dhunche. Depending on our time schedule we may take a short break here at Dhunche and shortly after descend to Syabrubesi. Syabrubeshi is a prosperous town due to its close distance from Rasuwagadi, the Nepal-Tibet border. This is where we will spend our first night.

The following morning after breakfast, leaving Syabrubesi we will cross a suspension bridge and start with our first day trekking. Soon we will be walking deeper into the enchanting forested trail where there is a possibility to spot Red Pandas. Ascending vertical trails, through the forest we will get closer to the captivating village of SherpaGaon.

We will spend a night at SherpaGoan - which translates into Sherpa Village. It is a beautiful stop that offers you one of the most remarkable mountain views when the weather is clear. The next morning the Sherpa Village gives you an incredible sunrise view which you can always enjoy with a local cup of tea. Enjoy the view from your lodge verandah.

From Shepagoan, following the rough Langtang River, we will walk further into the valley. Progressively walking the beautiful terrain, passing through many traditional villages we will get to Thyangsyap where will stay overnight. This village gives you a sense of culture and country life that villagers have kept intact till today.

We continue our journey further to the village of Langtang, a place that bears witness to the tragic 2015 earthquake. Trekking further we will get to heaven like Kyangjin Gumba. Kyangjin Gompa is like a mirage with prosperity and stunning mountain views. Surrounded entirely by majestic snowy peaks, the ambiance of this town is magical and captivates your soul.

You will witness prominent peaks like Langtang Lirung (7,234 m / 23,734 feet), Langtang Ri (7,205 m / 23,638 feet), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m / 22,854 feet), Gangchenpo (6,387 m / 20,955 feet), Naya Kanga (5,844 m), Changbu (6,781 m / 22,247 feet), and Yala Peak (5,500 m) and many more.
