Kajin Sara Lake, also known as Singar Lake, is a stunning high-altitude glacial lake located in the Manang District of Nepal. The Kajin Sara Lake, or Kajin Sara Tal has gained considerable attention due to its unique characteristics and stunning natural beauty.

To reach the lake, one typically embarks on a trekking journey starting from the village of Lamjung, which serves as a base for Annapurna Circuit Trek. We drive as far as Dharapani and the next day we Trek to the incredible local town of Chame which stands at 3650m / 8,650 feet.

The Lake is 24km away from the beautiful town of Chame and would take 2 to 3 days to get there. Chame is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, including the Annapurna II, Annapurna III, and Manaslu peaks. The views from Chame are some of the best on the Annapurna Circuit.

Kajin Sara Lake Trek Detailed Itinerary

  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
  • You'll be welcomed by your Trekking Group Leader or our office representative and you will be transferred to your hotel in the city.
  • Your Hotel is located in the Center City of Kathmandu at THAMEL -- a vibrant colorful town, a tourist hub.
  • Check in at the hotel and have some rest to recover from your journey.

Today is going to be a LONG DRIVE. Driving 173 km/107 miles to Besisahar, the prosperous town of the British Gurkhas is very entertaining giving you ample opportunity to know how locals live up to drive through these winding roads in local buses which are often enormously packed. We further Drive to Dharapani and stay overnight in a local tea house.

  • 7/8 hours’ drive to Besisahar. Today we drive early to skip any uncertainty of traffic jams on our slender highway.
  • Fabulous scenery and mountain view at the backdrop as you navigate through these new roads.
  • From Besisahar few hours’ drive to Jagat is another fascination with so much to witness.
  • Despite a very long drive, the scenic beauty and deep gorges among soaring cliffs at the backdrop are phenomenal.
  • We will further Drive to Dharapni
  • Being at Dharapani, the stone village with a medieval atmosphere and few tea houses is remarkable and worth an effort.

From Dharapani we start off with a gradual trial to Bagarchap and eventually get to another settlement of Danagyu. Next, we climb through the amazing woodland trail to the village of Timang for lunch. After lunch once again we start off with a gradual trail and drop all the way to Thanchok and finally reach the pleasing settlement of Chame, the administrative headquarters for Manang district.
